2020 ROVER TO LOOK FOR SIGNS OF PAST LIFE ON MARS

A team of scientists studying possible mission scenarios for a planned 2020 Mars mission modeled on NASA's Curiosity rover has recommended a spacecraft equipped with instruments designed to look for traces of past life in the red planet's frigid crust, agency managers said.

SPACEWALK COMPLETED AT INTERNATIONAL SPACE STATION

Astronauts Christopher Cassidy and Luca Parmitano took a six-hour spacewalk from the International Space Station on Tuesday to replace a Ku-band communications transceiver; to install cabling needed by an upcoming Russian laboratory module; to retrieve a pair of science experiments; mount radiator servicing attachment fittings; and carry out routine maintenance.
