H-2A ROCKET SET FOR LAUNCH OF JAPANESE RADAR SATELLITE

An advanced radar mapping satellite is on the launch pad awaiting liftoff Saturday aboard a Japanese H-2A rocket to begin at least a five-year mission collecting high-resolution all-weather images of Earth from nearly 400 miles up. Liftoff is set for 0305 GMT Saturday (11:05 p.m. EDT Friday) from the Tanegashima Space Center in southern Japan.

ANTARES ROCKET ENGINE DAMAGED IN TEST MISHAP

DRAGON CARGO CAPSULE ENCOUNTERS WATER SEEPAGE

Sea water seeped into SpaceX's Dragon supply capsule when it parachuted into the Pacific Ocean on Sunday, the second such occurrence since the cargo carrier began flying to the International Space Station in 2012, but a NASA space station manager said Wednesday there is no indication the incident damaged any of the sensitive research samples stowed inside.
